“My father wore only Brooks Brothers from head to toe, and I used to “borrow” his shirts. I later worked as an editor at a magazine two blocks from the flagship store on Madison Avenue and often spent my lunch break buying Brooks Brothers clothing. Over the years I filled my closet with classic pieces, and they are forever staple parts of me and my life. My son is in his first year of law school, and he owns the classic navy blue blazer, as do I. For his graduation from prep school, I bought him a Brooks Brothers gray worsted wool suit. Brooks Brothers is not just a label—it represents a whole way of living and American classic tradition. Even if I wear other brands, people say I look like a Brooks brothers type of woman. I take that as a huge compliment: I, too, am a classic!”
